This year Team Cannabis celebrated 4 years at SF AIDS Walk and more than $200,000 raised!

On July 16, 2017, Team Cannabis experienced the joy of partnering with Project Inform & AIDS Walk San Francisco to help make the AIDS Free Generation a reality. Over the last four years, Team Cannabis has raised over $200K to directly support critical programs that work to stop new infections and help people living with the virus. Proving once again that cannabis is not just the country’s newest industry; it’s a new kind of industry as well. One that remembers its history, and believes in building its communities even as it builds its businesses.

The medical cannabis movement was forged in the fire of the AIDS crisis. For nearly 30 years medical cannabis & HIV/AIDS activists have fought side by side to ensure patients have indispensable access to medical cannabis.  We are united in the shared spirit of service and compassion for the patients of our community. We want to end the stigma associated with both AIDS and cannabis, creating a better, safer, healthier world for all.

It was a beautiful sunny day in Golden Gate Park, and a fun time was had by all. After a 7 mile walk, the celebratory barbecue is always a hit; this year featured tasty empanadas, and generous medicated gift bags courtesy of the sponsors! Check out the slides below.
