Lifecycle

Grows evenly, but stock zig zags which can cause side heaviness depending on flower formation and branch twist, leads to leaning.

Very fast vegetation stage 1.5 months until pre flower, really fast at 12 on, 12 off light/dep.

Bud formation beaitiful, but really gotta watch for mold as it is a tight plump flower and the lighter green color strains seem more prone to mold than the darker green color strains.

Purple bracts/nodes make it more important to keep a close eye for final day prior to harvest.

In hot conditions, cut water last 2-3 days before harvest.

In moist and cooler conditions, cut water 1 week before harvest.

Hot weather daily water

Cooler weather water twice per week.

A less moist soil seems to suit this strain well.

To get this strain to grow larger, must have 16 on, 8 off. Once 12/12 is set, Blueberry Muffin goes to flower. It must be a heavy indoor strain crossed for light dep with an outdoor strain, not sure.

Growth rate of BM versus GSC is about 2-3 weeks difference.

Brown hair coverage, not sure if 50% or 75% on this strain to harvest, but will find out at some point.

Seems to have less small wasteful bud formation with better popcorn formation at bottom areas of stock.

Tempted to thin majority of water leaves in last week….please advise if this is not recommended. It seems to work great on other strains in last week after cutting water, and flowers suck more from stock up, and lower moisture content in flower, like a live dehydration.

Be careful of preflower outside!

By Drew on September 26, 2018

This is a great strain. However I gave it 4 stars because it is quite finicky to grow outside! Plants grew well but preflowered out of 8 strains all moved outside mid June with proper light transition. Plants vegged for a month then preflowered, then finished flowering making looser buds. Still smelled amazing, literally like artificially flavored Hostess blueberry muffins. Effects are similar to other blueberry strains, uplifting and good daytime use. Average THC, guessing 17-20%

Nice start June 15

By John on September 6, 2018

I am growing this along side of dream queen & I can see a big difference with the blueberry plants are dark green and started flower August 1. The dream queen is light green and just started on the 15th. With the blueberry strain the nodes are close together where with the dream queen there’s a larger gaps. As of today the blueberry smells fantastic and the dream queen has no noticeable aroma. Very happy so far with the blueberry muffin and I hope that the dream queen is just a late bloomer – will keep you updated.

Smells Amazing!

By BeezLuiz on September 6, 2018

I grew one clone outdoors this season. I started it on 4/28 and harvested on 8/26. Beautiful flowers and the smell was indeed very much like blueberry muffins. The one plant grew trouble-free outdoors in 10 gallon fiber pot. She was a bit root-bound (my fault), but she still yielded 10 ounces! While she’s still sitting in cure, I sampled a nug and was very pleasantly surprised at the flavor and high.

Also tested the highest Mycrene levels I have ever seen. Almost double that of any other strain I have grown. Mycrene = Longer lasting high 👍🔥

History

Geographic Origin: Humboldt

Story: In 2009, Humboldt Seed Co. acquired a clone called Razzle Berry and bred it with their original Purple Panty Dropper strain. It produced small black seeds that turned into an array of phenos as an F1. One of the phenotypes that came from that cross had a distinct blueberry scent. They captured that pheno in genetic preservation and back-crossed it with the parental lineage. In 2010 the now F2 seed line had taken on a consistent blueberry scent but one plant in particular expressed the most wonderful, comforting scent that they had ever experienced from Cannabis. They back-crossed her with a selected male from the lineage. While they were harvesting the plant one of their trimmers exclaimed "this smells exactly like Blueberry Muffins".
